I, Max (27 years) had always been a big fan of football. When I received more information about the possibility of sports betting some time ago, I was very attracted to take this opportunity for myself. At the beginning I actually thought that it would be rather a nice pastime, the actual winnings were not really in the foreground at the beginning.

My entry into the field of sports betting:
In the first phase it was mainly the games of my favourite club VfB Stuttgart that I bet on again and again. Since I live in Stuttgart myself, the excitement and anticipation of the game could be increased significantly. The stakes at that time were always in the order of five to about twenty euros. Unfortunately, I have to say that I lost more and more the overview of my finances in this area, so that for a few weeks it was not clear to me how much money I had already invested in practice. Although I could decide now and then even the one or other bet for me, I was actually already after only few months some hundred euro in the minus, which had not been at the beginning actually my goal.

My personal strategy for the sports betting

If you imagine this once, the inner desire grows to be able to slide back into the green area with a few wins. Personally, I was lucky enough to actually be able to land some coups, which is why I had at least to a large extent compensated for my losses. The turnaround came at some point when the betting provider changed. Because I bet over the Internet, the selection of different bookmakers is naturally very large. Now I could also manage the balance sheets very comfortably from my smartphone, which brought me a certain joy in the game again. At the same time, I no longer only bet on the victories of the teams, which I found sympathetic, but I also put together a clear strategy. Personally, I was most lucky when I played smaller combination bets that contained about two or three different events. In part these were always very probable things, such as a victory for the so dominant Bayern. In combination with a more improbable result, I reached odds between two and three, which made it possible to win three-digit sums per bet with the corresponding stakes.

Set your own rules and limits

In order to also have a certain prevention against gambling addiction, I set myself the goal of playing a maximum of two such bets per weekend. So I prepared myself all the more carefully for the bet. Especially via football portals such as Sport1 on the internet it was possible to obtain further information about the individual teams. Of course, there are always a few cases where everything seems to go against you and your own bet. But since that time I managed to win smaller sums with the sports bets. For example, it is now possible for me to generate an average plus of around 100 euros per month. I haven’t gotten rich this way yet, but in my case it is still the joy in the matter itself that plays a very big and important role.

Inpayments and outpayments

For the deposits I used the very comfortable system of PayPal. The main reason for this was that I already had some experience with it and found it all very pleasant and comfortable. Furthermore, there is the chance to have the deposited money on your betting account only a short time later. In addition, there is also the famous protection for the buyer that the seller promises over and over again. When paying out the winnings, which I could apply for more and more frequently in the later phases, I used the classic transfer to my own checking account. It didn’t matter to me whether I had to wait a few working days longer for the winnings to arrive.

My collected experience

Looking back, I can say that I’ve always enjoyed sports betting and I still do. It is above all the incredible excitement of the game that continues to fascinate me. Of course there’s always one or two disappointments in this area, but against this backdrop the radiant wins only stand out more strongly. So it’s possible to develop a certain participation even in a match between two teams that aren’t really interesting, which I enjoy savouring on almost every Saturday in the first football Bundesliga and other top leagues in Europe. Since I have finally ended up in a positive financial area with the bets, I don’t have a bad feeling or conscience because of the sometimes high stakes. But I wouldn’t describe the sports bets as an easy way to get the big money. Rather, it is a nice pastime for sports enthusiasts who no longer want to prove their own professional knowledge only at the regulars’ table.
