My name is Daniela, I am 23 years old and come from beautiful Cologne.

About 6 months ago I started to try my luck playing the lottery. I didn’t hope to win any huge prizes, but what’s the name of it? If you don’t dare, you don’t win.

One Friday evening I had the idea that I could try my hand at gambling. I didn’t hesitate long and downloaded the Lotto24 app. Right after the registration I started to play. The user account was quickly created, all I needed was bank details to debit my lottery tickets and a copy of my identity card in case I won. Since I didn’t have a laptop and no lottery shop near me, I thought gambling on my smartphone was the best solution.

Normally I’m more of a thrifty person and don’t throw my money out the window for gambling, but that month I got a bonus at work for my good work, so I thought: why not? I can try it out once!

At the first game I was a bit nervous and hoped for a win. At the time, I had absolutely not planned to buy a lottery ticket every week.

That’s why I sat in front of my mobile screen and googled the lottery numbers immediately. But of course luck wasn’t on my side the first time. “Doesn’t matter”, I thought to myself, “I’ll try it again! And so I played week after week again. Every time I thought to myself anew “Next time it’ll work!

But no matter how often my numbers were not drawn, I didn’t want to give up. Every now and then I won 5€, but before that I invested it twice and three times in lottery tickets. That’s why I hadn’t made any winnings so far, but rather losses.

My strategy was to have no strategy! In the Lotto24 app, you can let chance decide what makes the app tick any numbers that the computer selects for me. I hadn’t thought too much about which numbers to type and how often. Questions like “Do I mark the same numbers every time? Should I use my lucky numbers? The birth dates of my family” I never asked myself. For me always the coincidence decided and as it turned out a little later, my “strategy” was not at all so stupid!

About two weeks later I was about to give up lottery playing. At that time I had a low, I hadn’t won for a long time. I was of the opinion that it was no longer worth it. But once again I wanted to try it. One last time. So, as usual, I played in game 77. The jackpot was pretty high at that time. I can’t remember how high, but it was temptingly high.

It was a Saturday night in May. Around 21:00 o’clock I looked as always in my mobile phone app to see whether luck had meant well to me this week. And I could hardly believe my eyes. My current account balance was 7.777.00€! I could not believe it! With luck I started to jump around and call for my friend Tobi, to whom I wanted to convey the good news directly. I felt such a joy and such a luck that also I had finally won something great once. And that after such a short time! After all, I had only been playing the lottery for a few weeks. Others, such as my father, have been playing all their lives and have never been able to win more than 100€. And that’s why I just couldn’t believe it. Before I had considered whether it was worth it to play again at all, and lo and behold, it was absolutely worth it!

To be on the safe side, I compared my numbers with the currently drawn game 77 numbers. I had actually typed 5 correct numbers! It wasn’t a dream, I really won and am now… well… “Thousandaire”. I didn’t win the jackpot, but for a woman who only earns medium well, that’s definitely a lot of money.

In my mind I already imagined what I could do with all that money. Buy a new car? Book a dream holiday in the Maldives? Donate a part of the money? Or, or, or… So much went through my mind.

When I could finally tell my boyfriend and my family about it, everyone was immediately happy with me and could hardly believe it either. Of course I requested the payment of my winnings directly and it didn’t take 3 days, the money was already on my account.

Even weeks later I was happy about my 8.000 Euro. The first thing I had bought from my money was a new car. But that was also bitterly necessary!

Then I gave little things to friends and family, mum got a nice chain, Tobi a new watch and dad got his long-awaited, expensive perfume. The rest I put aside for the time being – for bad times. Who knows what I can use the money for later.

I haven’t played the lottery since I won. Because I am of the opinion, who has won once so much money, will not experience it again so fast a second time. And I was sure that I wasn’t blessed with such great luck to clear again directly. It was already unbelievable that I had success so quickly.

So for me the gambling was definitely worth it and maybe I’ll try it again sometime!
