My name is Jonas, I celebrated my 30th birthday last February, and I would like to tell you about my experiences with Black Jack. After I started gambling on the Internet in 2006 like many other people during the poker boom, I came into contact with casino games through bonuses and promotions. But I wasn’t particularly interested in casino games at the time, because I wanted to exert influence myself and I wasn’t able to do so with most games. But Blackjack was something special for me, because here too I had the opportunity to improve and learn a strategy. Nevertheless, at the beginning I only played on the smallest stakes, i.e. with my provider, the party casino, with one Euro per hand. Although I couldn’t make big profits with it, the strategic aspect of Black Jack appealed to me immensely. Often I used bonuses or played Black Jack when I was only a few shop points short. After I stopped playing poker, Black Jack fell into oblivion for me.

But that changed in 2008, when the film 21 was released and I became interested in the topic again. I suddenly had the feeling that Black Jack was opening up a whole new world for me. That’s why I couldn’t wait after the film and read myself into the topic of counting cards. Of course I wanted to try it out immediately and drove with a friend to the casino Esplanade. The first shock was that the minimum bet here is 10€ per round and it can end so quickly in dimensions that are no longer paid from the postage.
Furthermore, I quickly noticed on the spot that card counting is not only much more difficult than it seems in the videos. It is also almost ineffective in the esplanade, as never all cards are played. In retrospect, I found out that this is the case in all German casinos and Black Jack is therefore hard to beat.

That evening I lost about 250€ and had enough of Black Jack. But a little later I also got to know other casinos. So it is for example possible in Berlin and Kiel to play with minimum stakes of only 2€. Since the fun is in the foreground for me, I prefer the casinos in these cities.
Every now and then I also like to risk a round of Black Jack on the Internet.

I stick to the online casinos where I can also play with small stakes in the live casino. I especially remember Coral’s live casino. In the past, I was able to play live blackjack there with one euro per hand. Usually I bought a Paysafecard for 10 or 25 Euros and paid it in full immediately. Different from the credit card the deposit with the Paysafecard was limited and I could not spontaneously use further amounts. Most of the time I played with one Euro until I was broke.

But I can still remember one evening exactly. I was at about 50€ and a friend rang the doorbell to pick me up. Instead of logging out I asked him to come in. He suggested to go all-in. I took this advice to heart and was able to double in the next lap. But that was not enough, he bought 50€ from me and we continued playing with these bets until we reached 1700€. We decided to pay out 1500€ and continue gambling with the rest. We challenged our luck and immediately placed the remaining 200€ in our box. Unfortunately we had bad luck and got two eights. Since we did not want to split, because we would have had to cancel the payment for it, we stayed at 16 and had to watch how the dealer saved himself after a picture and a 5 with a 3 in the goal.

Nevertheless, we could both make a considerable profit. Instead of going to our usual pizzeria, we drove to Hamburg and had a good time.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t win such a prize a second time and since I’ve been coming to play less and less in the last few months, I don’t expect it in the near future either.
